PROMIX Type M, N, and S Mortar is a contractor grade, pre blended mortar designed for installing concrete masonry units, brick, and manufactured stone. Formulated with Portland cement, lime, and well graded masonry sand, PROMIX mortar delivers reliable performance and meets or exceeds ASTM C270 specifications for Type M, N, and S mortar.

For each 70 lb bag of PROMIX Type M, N, and S Mortar, add 7 pints of fresh, potable water to the mixer. Start the mixer and gradually add the mortar mix. If additional water is needed to achieve a workable, trowelable consistency, add water as needed.

The final water content should be between 7 and 12 pints per 70 lb bag.

PROMIX® Core Fill Masonry Grout is a contractor grade, pre blended material formulated for grouting the cells of concrete masonry units. It provides compressive strength exceeding 3,000 PSI and is designed to meet ASTM C476 requirements for reinforced masonry construction.

DIRECTIONS FOR MIXING:

For each 70 lb bag of PROMIX® Core Fill Masonry Grout, add eight pints of fresh, potable water to the mixer. Start the mixer and gradually add the grout mix. If additional water is needed to achieve a workable consistency, add water as needed. Mix for five minutes per batch using a mechanical mixer. Grout should be discarded if not used within one and one half hours of mixing.

The final water content should be between 8 and 15 pints per 70 lb bag.

PROMIX® Stone Veneer Mortar is designed for superior performance when installing lightweight manufactured stone. This pre blended mortar is formulated with Portland cement, lime, and well graded masonry sand for reliable installation and performance. Used for buttering or spreading onto the back of stone, the mortar should fully cover the surface without voids and conforms to ASTM C270 Type S specifications.

DIRECTIONS FOR MIXING:

For each 70 lb bag of PROMIX® Stone Veneer Mortar, add seven pints of fresh, potable water to the mixer. Start the mixer and gradually add the mortar mix. If additional water is needed to achieve a workable, trowelable consistency, add water as needed. The final water content should be between 7 and 12 pints per 70 lb bag.

PRECAUTION:

Variations in water content, mixing time, curing conditions, and finishing practices can cause color variations. Maintain a consistent water to mix ratio and follow the stone manufacturer’s installation instructions. Do not strike joints too early or while they are too wet, and do not retemper mortar by adding additional water.

Use the mortar within two hours of mixing. For consistent results, use a mechanical mixer and mix for at least five minutes. The raw color of the unmixed product may not match the final cured color. Allow mortar to cure for a full 28 days. Clean only with potable water and do not use muriatic acid on colored mortar joints.
